Jungheinrich Collaborates with SMC to Host the 6th SMC Member Day
Jungheinrich partnered with the Sustainable Manufacturing Centre (SMC) by NECTEC to host the 6th SMC Member Day at the NXT Warehouse in Thailand.
Samut Prakan, Thailand – Jungheinrich, in partnership with the Sustainable Manufacturing Centre (SMC) by NECTEC, successfully hosted the 6th SMC Member Day at the state-of-the-art NXT Warehouse Experience Center. This exclusive event brought together over 70 SMC members to explore cutting-edge warehouse innovations and engage in a thought-provoking panel discussion on sustainability.
As a proud member of SMC, Jungheinrich was delighted to welcome all participants to its facility. The event was led by Mr. Bart Sprangers, General Manager of Jungheinrich Lift Truck Ltd., and Dr. Panita Pongpaibool, NECTEC Deputy Executive Director and SMC Director.
The day commenced with a warm welcome speech by Dr. Panita, introduced SMC’s mission and vision. This was followed by an inspiring opening address from Mr. Bart, introduced the capabilities of the NXT Warehouse Experience Center, emphasizing Jungheinrich’s role in advancing sustainable solutions for the material handling industry.
The highlight of the event was the Sustainability in Action panel discussion, featuring distinguished speakers:
- Dr. Thanapong Duangmanee, Director of Environmental Policy at the Mae Fah Luang Foundation (Doi Tung)
- Isawan Kaeochotchuangkul, Director of Sustainability and Development at Rhenus Logistics
Attendees gained invaluable insights into sustainability practices and their impact on modern warehouse operations.
In addition, Jungheinrich experts demonstrated the company’s comprehensive range of material handling equipment at the NXT Warehouse. The showcase included cutting-edge technologies such as Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs) and Very Narrow Aisle (VNA) solutions, highlighting how these innovations can transform warehouse efficiency and productivity.
